BEAMA traces
its origins back to 1905 when it was established to give support
to the British electrical industry by developing policies, by making
representations to Government and to other authorities, and by providing
services which it would be uneconomic for members to provide for
themselves.
BEAMA today
still retains its essential purpose - to serve its members and
the national industrial base. Pivotal to that service for the
Member Associations are the specialist departments- commercial
and statistics, exhibitions, international, legal, public relations
and technology.
